Sometimes you just try really hard

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

I just have to keep going and not look back (why the heck did i type “bad”, was I too tired?).
Resist the tears. Sigh.

It’s just not that easy in my current state.

That’s a pretty long move to xUbuntu.

Hope it’s a good move though. :)

Busy Times

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

I haven’t had time for myself nowadays. Just pool and module selection/bidding.

It’s funny. I haven’t started schooling and I’m already stressed out selecting the modules. I lost confidence in writing but now I’m left with modules that just require a lot of writing. Other modules that I have exam dates that clash with the current allocated modules (which I don’t plan to drop). Argh. Module bidding… “Now that they give you a choice of choosing, you complain.”

Well, I’m just frustrated. It’s tough selecting a range of modules that I have confidence in ace-ing. I have to get A for everything, it’s a must. So I’m just afraid that if I make the wrong choice in selection, I’ll crush my morale and confidence for the rest of my university life. Sigh.

In a way, I feel like I’m putting a lot of unwanted pressure on myself. But then again, it’s just the way I want it to be. And I have to get used to it, and live with it at least throughout uni. Bah. If I have to, I have to stop pool… Though that probably wouldn’t work out because I need distractions, it’s just the way I study.

The Singapore Presence

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

I’m thinking of starting a blog or directory or wiki sorta thing to track the presence of Singaporeans in web communities.

I just thought of this after seeing that Singapore has more than 100 shops on Etsy.com. And they’re not inactive. It’s amazing that we have such a presence on a Brooklyn-based startup and I haven’t even heard of the company before till just now. I’m probably out of the loop for this kinda stuff, handmade and probably more for girls, but it’s just amazing.

I just bringing the Singaporeans on the web together. Whether there’s a logical or practical purpose in that, I’m not too sure.
